Day 13: Pray for your husband & your marriage

Marriage is a huge aspect to pray for with and for your husband.  Pray for a mutual commitment for your marriage, where God is at the center.  Pray against any baggage or memories either of you is bringing, that it would be forgiven, dealt with, and left behind.  Pray against adultery and divorce and any other destructive situation.  Pray against jealousy and ungodly thoughts.  Pray for patience, understanding, and respect for your husband.  Pray for anything that may “bug” you about your spouse or in your marriage.  Pray for contentment through Christ, and not being filled by your husband.  Pray for the Lord to direct your husband’s steps as leader of your household.  Pray for peace and patience during the tough times.  Pray for help to hold your tongue, and be slow to speak and slow to anger.  Pray that the Holy Spirit would fill each of you, and there would be a mutual love and respect for each other.  Pray for yourself against being that nagging wife.  Pray before bringing up issues, and pray for an open mind.  Pray for your expectations…that they would be realistic and adaptable.  Pray against pride and for humbleness.  Pray for your love toward your husband to grow everyday.   Pray that neither one of you would try  to maintain your marriage in your own strength.  Pray that the Lord would be first and center of all.
