Day 15: Pray for your husband’s Speech

Your husband’s speech can be a blessing or a curse depending on his attitude and beliefs.  Pray he would be slow to speak, and his words would be prayerfully careful.  Pray he would be uplifting and edifying to those around him.  Pray that his speech would be encouraging and supportive to his children and to you.  Pray that any angry or bitterness that is in his heart would not seep through his lips.  Pray for him to have patience in his talk, and wisdom in his speech.  Pray against any negativity or bad habits of complaining.  If you have a bitter or angry or negative husband, pray for your patience in dealing with his heart.  Lift his heart up daily, not nagging, but allowing the Lord to change his heart and yours.  Pray for Lord’s control over your own tongue.  Pray that he would choose his words carefully, and they would bring a healing and not destruction.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to convict his heart in any area that is wrong, and to fill him so that he may overflow with God’s love.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to guard your husband’s speech and he would only speak what is glorifying to God.
