30 Days of Praying for Your Husband; Day 17 Pray for your husband’s thoughts

Day 1-15 Praying for your husband

Day 16: Pray for your husband’s integrity

Day 17: Pray for your husband’s thoughts

We never really know what our spouses are thinking unless they share those thoughts with us.  We don’t know what struggles he is having unless he shares those as well.  But we do know the battles that go on in our minds so pray for his struggles along with yours.    Pray for those issues he shares, and for those that you may be unaware of that are swirling around in his mind.  Pray for those times the enemy attacks with negative thoughts.  Pray that he would be ready and would depend on the Lord to defend those attacks.  Pray he would be quick to repent for any thoughts that cause him to sin.  Pray that any strongholds he is clinging to in his mind would be forgiven and lifted.  Pray that any obstacle or burden that is keeping your husband from the Lord would be removed so he would be able to see clearly.  Pray he wouldn’t believe the lies whispered by our adversary, but would hear the truth of that still small voice.  Pray that the Lord would put a greater desire of knowing Him and His Word in your husband’s heart and mind.  Pray that his thoughts would be centered on God and his decisions would be based on God’s Word.  Pray for your husband to pray for answers and clarity.  Pray for what your husband would allow into his mind and thoughts.  Pray that he would only desire what is true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report and he would have a mind like Christ.  Pray for the Lord to protect his thoughts.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”           Hebrews 4:12

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”     2 Timothy 1:7

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”                 Philippians 4:8

“For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”   1 Corinthians 2:16

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”                   Romans 12:2

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”     2 Corinthians 10:3-5
