30 Days of Praying for Your Husband; Day 20 Pray for His Repentance

Praying for your husband: Day 1-19

Day 20: Pray for Your Husband’s Repentance

We are all sinners that fall short, and we all need to repent and ask for forgiveness.  Pray for your husband to have a repentant heart, and a clear conscience.  Pray that if he is not walking according to the will of God, that he would turn back to the Lord and his heart would be renewed.  Pray that the Holy Spirit would convict his heart, and that your words didn’t.  Pray that the Lord would do a work in his heart, and he wouldn’t change just to please you.  Pray that your husband would have a humble heart, and not full of pride.  Pray that he would not have any problem saying, “I’m sorry.”  Pray that he would desire more of God’s word, and in that he would have a deeper relationship with Him.  Pray that you would be quick to forgive, and would not hold a resentful heart.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”         1 John 1:9

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”                  Psalms 139: 23-24

“I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”      Luke 13:3

Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent”         Acts 17:30

“He who covers his sins will not prosper,But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”          Proverbs 28:13

Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?”           Romans 2:4

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”        2 Peter 3:9
