30 Days of Praying for Your Husband: Day 1-25

Day 26: Pray for His Devotional Time

Praying for your husband to have a meaningful devotional time is crucial.  We get so busy as we go about our days, and a fruitful devotional time is essential to living.  Pray today for your husband’s devotional time.  Pray that he would desire God’s word.  Pray that his mind and soul would be clear and ready to hear what the Lord is speaking.  Pray that he would grow deeper in God’s word than ever before.  Pray that the word would be engraved on his heart.  Pray that your husband would be a “doer” of the Word and not just a “hearer.”  Pray that the Lord would lead your husband’s steps and path for life through His Word.  Pray that your husband would obey God’s Word, and would gain wisdom from it.

Verses:

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”              Hebrews 4:12

“Apply your heart to instruction, and your ears to words of knowledge.”           Proverbs 23:12

“But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’                Matthew 4:4

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”            Romans 10:17

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”      Psalm 119:105

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.  For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.”       James 1:22-24

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”       Proverbs 1:7
