There’s a little trick to making perfectly chewy cookies….substitute brown sugar for some of your white sugar. Here is an awesome recipe for chocolate chip cookies (I substituted M&Ms)
Soft Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) softened butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
3 1/2 cups flour
Mix butter and sugars until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, mix until combined. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture to butter mixture, mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Form into rounded balls and bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
If you want your cookies extra chewy, substitute a 1/4 cup of brown sugar for 1/4 cup of white sugar.
