Clam Casino Dip Recipe

If you’re looking for a delicious appetizer for a party or to take as a dish to pass….this is it!  I get requests for the recipe every time I take it to share.  Enjoy!!

 

Clam Casino Dip Recipe

 

3 cans chopped clams

1 small jar pimento

1 jar or package of real bacon bits

1 cup finely chopped green peppers

2 medium onions, finely chopped

1/2 stick butter (1/4 cup)

6-8 tbsp bread crumbs

1 Tbsp Tabasco sauce

1 Tbsp dried parsely

salt & pepper to taste

 

Directions:

 

1. Preheat oven to 375°.

2.  Drizzle large saucepan with olive oil and saute onions & peppers.

3.  Drain half the juice from each can of clams, and discard remaining.

4.  Add clams and remaining ingredients to onion & pepper mix, and combine until evenly mixed.

5. Place in 2 quart casserole dish and bake uncovered for 45 minutes.

 

Serve with crackers or vegetable sticks.

 

Tip: Keebler Toasted crackers hold up the best with this dip, but any cracker can be used.
