Cornstarch in your cookies….?

So I read on Pinterest yesterday that you can replace cornstarch for baking powder in your cookie recipes in order to make super soft cookies, so I decided that was a good enough reason to make a batch of cookies!

I got out my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and started making them, but as I read the recipe I realized that there is no baking powder in this recipe…hmmm! So instead I improvised (I am very experimental in the kitchen) I just added 1 1/2 tablespoons of cornstarch to the recipe. The result…..Super soft, yummy, moist cookies! Yep, they were awesome.  Give it a try, if you have a cookie recipe that calls for baking powder, replace it with cornstarch.  If there is no baking powder, add a little cornstarch.  Here’s the recipe I used…click here although I used chocolate chips instead of m&m’s.
