Fitting back into those summer clothes!!

A couple days ago, when we actually had warm weather I put on a pair of capris from last summer….and just as I suspected….TIGHT!!  Dang! I am not going to go out and buy a new wardrobe because I hate to admit that I might have to buy the next size larger pants.  Time to start healthy eating.  After I had my 4th son, I went on a low carb diet.  For breakfast everyday, I would make smoothies.  Well guess what I made for breakfast this morning.  You guessed it. A smoothie.  I’ve made so many of them that I could make them with my eyes closed.  If you need to drop a few pounds to squeeze back into those summer clothes, swap out that toast, bacon, or eggs for one of these smoothies every morning.  Here’s a few of my favorites:  NOTE* When I list seltzer water, diet sprite etc, you can use whatever you want and add enough to make your smoothie as thick or thin as you want it.

Peach strawberry smoothie
1/2 cup frozen peaches
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 small cup fat free vanilla yogurt
Seltzer water/diet sprite/diet ginger ale

 

Mixed berry smoothie
1 cup frozen mixed berries
shave a little orange peel into smoothie
1 cup fat free vanilla yogurt
seltzer water/diet sprite/diet ginger ale

 

Strawberry banana Smoothie
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 of a banana
1 cup fate free vanilla yogurt
seltzer water/diet sprite/diet ginger ale

 

Orange refreshing smoothie
1 banana
1 cup fruit flavored yogurt
handful of ice cubes
Orange juice

 

Frozen Yogurt low fat milkshake 🙂
1 1/2 cups low fat milk
1/2 package of sugar free instant chocolate pudding mix
1 cup low fat vanilla frozen yogurt
