Food for thought….A Vision

Well we are over a week into 2015. How has it gone for you? Have you mapped out any goals or priorities for the coming year? It’s interesting to see the views  in regards those resolutions. There are those who say they never make then because they never keep them and those who make a few a stick to them. My mind began to think on a verse today. We read in Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” It made me think of those without goals. If you have no particular target to aim at then no you will not miss the target but you will have no point either. Aimlessness is a vice in our society.

We don’t want to fail so we don’t even try. We have full existences and become wrapped up in drama because it is what is “real” in our lives. What about rising above it and getting a burden, catching a vision, fighting for a cause outside of yourself and seeing someone else’s need above your own. Will you see your life and the lives of others as miracles? So many times I see things and think “but for the grace of God there go I”. Keep us mindful, Lord. Challenge us this year. Bring in new things. New visions. New songs. New joys. New sorrows. New and greater love for YOU!!!!  I pray 2015 is the year of “I love you Lord”
