Food for thought…After affliction is the reward

It is said that Albert Einstein had a moment with an atheist professor. The professor was denying the existence of God. A young Albert said this in response to the professors statements. “God did not create evil. Just as darkness is the absence of light, evil is the absence of God.” We are quick to ascribe God with the fault of all the evil that is around us as though He delights in seeing the suffering of His creation. Nothing could be further than the truth! We have ourselves to blame for the sin condition we find in and around us. The Lord did not tell us that we would not struggle or not experience difficulty here while we journey home. He told us that though these things will come (not maybe or if they come,..but they will come) that He would be WITH US.

He is not so aloof that He follows gingerly and half heatedly watching. Friend, won’t you invite Him into your trouble? Why not
ask the one who sees all and knows all? Remind me Lord that victory comes at a price. I must endure to get my crown. After affliction is the reward.

Matthew 5:12 “Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”
