Food for thought…excuses

We use a lot of excuses on why we do or do not do something. It can take many forms really. We are quite creative in our excuses. Sometimes we make up some that are so good and we tell them to ourselves enough that we believe them. I know you would never do such a thing so I guess I will confess and say that “it’s me. ‘I’ve done it. I’ve been there. Guilty as charged.”
I’ve been mad at times and  used my anger as an avenue to be “otherwise occupied” because I wanted or needed a distraction. Either way I decided to trust in a lie. Believe in a lie. Tell myself a lie. What talented liars we are. We say to ourselves we are ok with how we are and all the while deep down we want to be found. Would it be easier to remain camouflaged?! Sure it would but what good are we? Christ did not call under cover Christians. No, because He did call committed soldiers! What category do you fit in? You don’t have to live in obscurity to be effective for God. Nope. Just blossom where you are as you are! God has it all under control. Trust Him who is faithful and true. If He spoke it,….shall he not do it?! Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it ? or hath he spoken, and shall
he not make it good?” God your ways and timing are perfect. I pray that our timing would meet yours. Then and only then will we be truly found!!!
