Food For Thought…His Unchanging Love

Tree

There is a song called “One thing Remains” and one of the lines in the song says “Your love never fails, it never gives up, it never runs out on me” Think about that line for a moment.

Sometimes we look at God with this “Big guy in the sky” attitude.  We think that He is just the boss up in the sky with too much to do and worry about rather than us.  That couldn’t be further from the truth! Think about this scripture “But now, this is what the Lord says—he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name, you are mine.” (Isaiah 43:1)

He knows your name.  He knows who you are, what youve done, where you’ve been and where you are going.  He knows your happiness and your sadness.  He knows your strengths and your weaknesses.  He sees every bit of your life, all that you are.  Yet, He loves you the same.  He adores you.  To me, that is a miracle.

I love my husband more now than I ever have.  And tomorrow, Ill love him more.  My love toward him grows as time goes on.  Not so with God.  His love towards us doesnt change, it is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Because we are so naturally minded, it is hard for us to comprehend that God could love us despite our performance, despite our failures, and despite our wickedness.  God embraces us in the midst of our deepest and darkest failures.  His love is a gift to us and it doesnt change.  Ever.

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Ladies,  sometimes we feel like a failure in our Christian walks.  Sometimes we feel unlovable.  Sometimes we wonder why God would even want to use us because we fail so often.  Far from true! Ladies, He loves you despite your faults and shortcomings.  He loves you the same as He did when He sacrificed the life of His only son at Calvary.  His love doesnt change.  His mercy is new every morning.  And He yearns to have a relationship with you.  Rest in His love today.
