Food For Thought…Our Lives Affect Others

The LORD’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. Proverbs 3:33

Often times we think that the choices that we make only affect us.  Our sins, the hidden things in our hearts, we think that they are so small, they wont affect anyone else.  God sees every area of our hearts and our lives.

I have seen families broken, marriages crushed, and entire church congregations split over the sin of one person.  I have seen children grow up as gossips, liars, and angry at the world because this was the example that was set for them in their home.  Sin propagates more sin.  When it is planted in our lives, no matter if it is planted openly or privately, it still produces sin and it affects others.  Look at the first sin in the garden of Eden.  Our lives are affected by the sin of Adam and Eve.  But let us not think that the same rule doesnt apply in our lives.   Yes ladies, our sin affects others.  Maybe not today, maybe not next week, but God brings the hidden things of darkness into the light.  Those sins will eventually have consequences.

Those involved in our lives can be hurt or blessed by the actions that we carry out in our lives.   Ladies, we are children of the living God.  Bought at a high cost, and chosen.  Live your life surrendered to the Almighty God who has given you life.  Confess your sins to Him because He is faithful and just to forgive you of them.

Continuing in sin without confessing and repenting from it causes us to be separated from God.  Sin separates, it destroys lives, it wreaks havoc on our souls.  The solution is so simple.  Confess your sins before God, lay them at His feet, turn from them.  He is faithful to forgive, and restore that which was broken by our sins.  His love is amazing, isn’t it?!
