Food for thought…When we see something wrong

when we see something wrong

I received a phone call today that shook me up a bit in a not so pleasant way. It made me upset. It’s an ongoing issue really and just when you think the wound is healing up a little something comes a long and rips the baggage off and peels the wound to reveal fresh pain and some bleeding. I took a moment and starred at my counter,…why do I let this aggravate me so? I’m a justice seeker. I have been as such ever since I was a child. Most kids played house growing up but not me. Nope I played courtroom and I was the D.A. No lie. So finding the truth and standing up for it has been as natural to me as breathing. It comes as no shock then that the gene hasn’t faded with age.

Am I upset still? Yes. Do I want to right this wrong? Yes. Is it in my power to do so? No. You see my dilemma. Have you a similar circumstance? When you read the Bible do you stumble across verses of mercy and forbearance too? I wonder at how much I am to let go. Paul was in jail and it was of The Lord because he ministered to people there and followed the will of God. I’ve begun to ask The Lord to show me what my simple steps of obedience are for today. Forget tomorrow. It will be here soon enough and I only have strength enough for today. He will give me what I need tomorrow so I will live with my all today. Today will never be here again. Don’t take it for granted. Acts 5:29 “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.” Lord you never change (Hebrews 13:8) and I know that you are in control. Even when I see things that are wrong and I question and get frustrated I will trust you.
