Food for thought…Your faith has made you well

acting in faith

“Daughter, your faith has made you well” Mark 5:33

Throughout the gospels, we see the miracles that Jesus performed. We see people healed, blind men given their sight, children brought back from death, infirmities removed.  Do you know what each of these have in common?  The faith behind these miracles.

God tells the man whose son is possessed by a spirit “all things are possible to him to believes”  The man cries out to Jesus and says “Lord I believe but help my unbelief.” That’s faith.  Sometimes we just need to be honest with the Lord and say, Lord help me to believe, help me to have faith, and forgive me for my lack of faith.

Faith is what causes us to move, its dynamic, its operational. Think of how each of these people MOVED as a result of their faith:

1)By faith Abel OFFERED God a more excellent sacrifice
2)By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, MOVED with godly fear, PREPARED an ark for the saving of his household.
3)By faith Abraham OBEYED when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he WENT OUT, not knowing where he was going. BY FAITH HE DWELT in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.
4)By faith Sarah herself also RECEIVED strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she JUDGED Him faithful who had promised.
5) By faith Abraham, when he was tested, OFFERED up Isaac, and he who had RECEIVED the promises OFFERED up his only begotten son.
6) Speaking of Moses…By faith they PASSED THROUGH the Red Sea as by dry land.
7)By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had RECEIVED the spies with peace.
8) And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith SUBDUED kingdoms, WORKED righteousness, OBTAINED promises, STOPPED the mouths of lions, QUENCHED the violence of fire, ESCAPED the edge of the sword, out of weakness WERE MADE strong, BECAME valiant in battle, TURNED to flight the armies of the aliens.  Women RECEIVED their dead raised to life again. (Hebrews 11)

The common denominator among all of these miracles is that these beautiful saints of the bible acted.  They acted on their faith, and they trusted God.   Noah moved with Godly fear and he built an ark to save his household.  He moved.  It does not say that he thought about building an ark, but rather HE BUILT ONE.

Dear sisters, what has God called you to do? Act on it, in faith.  Trust the sovereign God that loves you and has plans for you.  Believe that He is working things to the good in your life, and that much like these saints, he will give you victorys, blessings, healings in your life.  Why? Because he loves us!
