This pizza dough recipe is super easy, if you’ve been looking at any of my other recipes you’ll see that I always say my recipes are easy. Here’s the thing, I grew up in an Italian family who loves to cook, but that trait was not passed down. Most of my recipes are super easy because they need to be, or else I wont follow the recipe. I’ve been known to leave out major ingredients because I thought the recipe didn’t need them. So my recipes are always going to be easy, I promise you that!
HOMEMADE PIZZA DOUGH
4 CUPS FLOUR
2 TSP SUGAR
2 1/4 TSP DRY YEAST (1 PACKET)
2 TSP SALT
1 1/2- 1 3/4 CUP WARM WATER (warm enough to activate the yeast but if its scalding hot you’ll burn the yeast and it won’t rise. Warm like bathwater is what you want)
3 TBSP OLIVE OIL
Mix together the dry ingredients, then add warm water. Knead, or put in your mixer with a dough hook until smooth. Let rise for 45 min. Split in half. You can either make 2 pizzas or freeze the other dough. Roll out on floured surface. Add desired toppings, bake at 425 for 10-15 min, make sure you check it at 10 so it doesn’t burn.
