AARP is a great way to get discounts, as well.  Simply show your card at your favorite restaurants and ask if they offer a discount.  Chances are they will have some type of offer for you.

Check online for additional coupons and discounts.  This is also great for restaurants that don’t offer senior discounts.  Check www.seniordiscounts.com, www.restaurant.com, www.rewardsnetwork.com, and www.opentable.com for discounts and offers.

Check local restaurant deals for any promotions they may be running.  This year I took advantage of a Buy One $50 gift card and get a $25 one free.  Don’t be afraid to use both on yourself too!  It’s a great way to save money!

Check your credit cards for cash back bonuses and rewards.  Many credit cards will offer incentives to use their cards.  Many use cash back bonuses/rewards that offer gift cards to stores or restaurants.  Some even offer bonus rewards, such as use $45 of your rewards for a $50 restaurant gift card.

Purchase an Entertainment Book.  You know, those books that come around once a year that offer a huge book full of coupons.  If you dine frequently, it can be well worth the investment, and you will see a return on your money from it quite quickly!  Just be sure to search for deals on the Entertainment Books too.

Join Facebook and “Like” restaurant pages.  Restaurants often offer discounts on social media, and Facebook is a great place to start!  You can also join coupon or discount Facebook pages for even more tips and offers!

Sign up for emails to your favorite restaurants.  By signing up, you gain access to member only offers and discounts.  Simply click on any of the restaurant links above to sign up for their email newsletters.

Sign up for the birthday club.  I know it sounds like kid stuff, but many restaurants like to pamper their guests offering discounts, coupons, or even free appetizers for desserts!

Check your local warehouse stores for group gift cards.  Some of the big box stores offer packages of gift cards that may include a $5 or $10 gift card for purchasing the “6 pack” of gift cards.

Check back of receipts, telephone books, newspapers, and tourist brochures for restaurant coupons and discounts.  You’ll be surprised how many coupons are out there once you start looking!

Do you have more great ideas to save?  We would love to hear how you save and find discounts!!
